To add a user:

  1. Navigate to the user management section of the Cloud IPBX.

  2. Click the Add User button on the top left.

  3. Fill out at least the basic fields for the username, first name, last name and email address of the user.

  4. Click the save button.

When creating a user you can optionally set the user's password located under Advanced then Password Management tab. This password allows them to login via the user portal using their username, password and the account name for the account. IMPORTANT: always use strong passwords!

Managing a User

To manage a user:

  1. Navigate to the user you want to edit / manage and click on them to load them in the edit screen.

  2. Adjust the settings as you see fit. Remember, there are advanced settings under the advanced tab but we recommend you don't change those unless you really need to. The defaults fit most installations.

  3. Save the changed settings. Clicking save will save any changes you've made under any tab, all at the same time.

Deleting a User

To delete a user:

  1. Navigate to the user you want to delete and click on them to load them in the edit screen

  2. Click the delete button at the bottom right of the screen

You must make sure the user is not in use in any callflows before you can delete them. If you don't, those callflows may fail to process properly.

Creating Users (and more) in bulk

There is  an easy way to create several users, with their basic configuration, by importing an Excel file (csv).

This will save you the tedious task of creating them all one by one.

Go in the menu VoIP Services -> Advanced -> Import Data.

  1. Download the empty template (blue button).
  2. Have the end-user fill in the names, extensions, vmail info etc. (The second row is an example, please delete it before import).
  3. Add the MAC addresses and the model of the phones of each user.
  4. On the portal, select your csv file (grey button).  Eventual errors appear in red. When ready, load the data (green button).

This will create the users, their hardphone, their voicemail and their basic user call flow.
